Episode 11 is dropping tonight at midnight (US Eastern Standard), the witching hour, in honor of our latest read: The Witches by Roald Dahl.
“A witch never gets caught. Donβt forget that she has magic in her fingers and devilry dancing in her blood. She can make stones jump about like frogs and she can make tongues of flame go flickering across the surface of the water.”
The Witches by Roald Dahl
If you can believe it, The Witches is my first Roald Dahl book! As I mention in the episode, as a kid, I was super pretentious and haunted the Adult Fiction area of the library. I occasionally dropped into the kid rooms, but I was pulling Francesca Lia Block and Garth Nix. Roald Dahl was just never on my radar!
On the opposite end, Catrina knows Roald Dahl books so well that she lays out the Dahl formula. Tune in and let us know — do you think The Witches follows the formula? What other Dahl books are essential reading?
